Boy Scouts Troop 125
What's a Boy Scout?
Boy Scouting is one of three membership divisions of the BSA (the others
are Cub Scouting and Venturing). Boy Scouting is available to
boys who have earned their Arrow of Light Award (see Webelos
page) or have completed the fifth grade (or are 11-17 years old) and subscribe to the Scouth Oath and Scout Law.
This program acheives the BSA's objectives of developing charachter, citizenship and
personal fitness qualities among young by focusing on a vigorous program of outdoor
activities.
Aims and Methods of the Scouting Program?
The Scouting program has three specific objectives, commonly reffered to as the "Aims
of Scouting." They are character development, citizenship training and personal
fitness. You can find out more about the "Aims of Scouting on this OFFICIAL
Boy Scouts of America (or BSA) WEB Site.
